Communion Meditation, Are you Hungry? (Part 1)

Feeding the four thousand
Matthew 15:29-38
I like to place myself in the story line in the bible. In other words, how would I feel if I were one of the disciples, or one of the people who came to see Jesus. What if I were at the front of the line, how about the last in line? Now I place myself as an onlooker wondering what all that fuss is about over in the field. Now read Matthew 15:29-38 and then place yourself in the story and then you walk up to Jesus and he asks you these questions.
Are you hungry? Did you get enough? Would you like some more? Are you full?
I think Jesus is asking us these same questions.

As we observe the Lord's Supper ask yourself these questions again. Are you hungry? Did you get enough? Would you like some more? There is plenty of God's saving Grace to go around. Are you full? Are you being filled?

Mark 14:22-25

22While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take it; this is my body."
23Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, and they all drank from it.
24"This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many," he said to them.
25"I tell you the truth, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in the kingdom of God."
