What does Communion or the Lord's Supper mean to you? What do you think about as the trays are being passed?
When I read the bible I try to place myself in the passage. It says in Matthew 26:30 that they sang a hymn, I wonder what it was. What was it like sitting around the table with Jesus? Or in the boat when He calmed the sea? What was it like when Jesus was crucified? There is an old hymn that I really like called "The Old Rugged Cross"
On a hill far away, stood an old rugged cross. The emblem of suffering and shame. And I love that old cross where the dearest and best For a world of lost sinners was slain.

So I cherish the old rugged cross, Till my trophies at last I lay down. I will cling to the old rugged cross. And exchange it some day for a crown.
On that old rugged cross so despised by the world, Has a wonderous attraction for me. For the dear Lamb of God left his glory above. To bear it to dark Calvery.
In the old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine, A wonderous beauty I see. For 'twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died. To pardon and santify me.
To the old rugged cross I will ever be true, It's shame and reproach gladly bear. Then He'll call me someday to my home far away. Where his glory forever I'll share.

What do you think about when the trays are being passed. I think about "The Old Rugged Cross".
